Save on CPR Training Equipment with Our Latest CPR Prompt Training Pack!

The CPR Prompt training manikins are quite popular among instructors, who often require several of these manikins to ensure proper practice in their classes. At Mentone Educational, we aim to provide instructors with the most affordable yet high-quality options; this has led to the creation of our newest CPR Prompt Training Manikin Pack.

What Is Included in the CPR Prompt Training Manikin Pack?

Our CPR Prompt Training Manikin Pack contains seven CPR training manikins; this includes both adult and infant manikins. By providing instructors with this combination, instructors can combine infant and adult CPR training when required.

Which Techniques Can Be Practiced with the CPR Prompt Training Manikins?

Life-saving techniques can easily be practiced on these manikins. The CPR Prompt Training Manikins are designed to practice techniques such as the Heimlich manoeuvre, abdominal thrusts, chest compressions, and mouth-to-mouth.

To ensure students implement the correct technique during their training, each of the manikins is designed with a number of realistic landmarks; this will help students identify the correct hand placement in genuine emergencies. Landmarks that have been included on the CPR Prompt Training Manikins include the Adam’s apple, carotid arteries, naval, rib cage, and chest notch.

Are CPR Prompt Training Manikins A Good Choice for Student Feedback?

The CPR Prompt Training Manikins include an audible compression clicker. When the sound is heard, the student knows he has achieved the proper compression depth. Naturally, this is one of the essentials in CPR training.

CPR instructors who want more feedback from their training manikins could also look at our advanced CPR training manikins, which have their own feedback system. We have training manikins with both audio and visual feedback systems.

Can I Use Lung Bags with the CPR Prompt Training Manikins?

The CPR Prompt Training Manikins can be combined with lung bags during training. Lung bags are simple yet effective tools to add some realism to your CPR training, but they also keep your training manikins more hygienic.

Lung bags are inserted into the training manikin before a student starts practicing compressions and mouth-to-mouth. When CPR is performed by the student, the lung bag will create a more realistic rise and fall of the chest. The inserted lung bags also prevent cross-contamination during classes, since each lung bag is removed before another student starts practicing.

How Many Lung Bags Will I Need for CPR Training?

The amount of lung bags required for CPR training is variable, since it depends on the number of students in your CPR class. As a general rule of thumb, you will need at least one lung bag per student. We also recommend some extras, in case a student needs to practice multiple times to master the techniques being taught.

Do I Need to Clean the CPR Prompt Training Manikins After Each CPR Class?

When instructors use lung and face shields during a CPR class, they usually do not have to clean off the manikins after a class; this since any germs and bacteria are eliminated through the removal of the lung bag and/or shield. Of course, some instructors prefer to sanitize their manikins anyway; this can be done with simple alcohol wipes.

We must mention that the design of the CPR Prompt Training Manikins allows instructors to remove the heads from the manikins. Since these heads are dishwasher safe, they can be placed in the dishwasher for a regular maintenance. However, please remember that the temperature in a dishwasher is not high enough for the equipment to become sterile. So, if hygiene is extremely important for one of your classes, be sure to wipe the manikin with an alcohol wipe before the start of the class.

What Other Training Manikins Could I Obtain to Add to My CPR Class?

At Mentone Educational, instructors can find a variety of CPR manikins with different features. A prime example is the Brayden CPR Manikin, which includes blood circulation display when CPR is performed; this type of manikin helps students visualise the effects of CPR.

In addition to different training manikins, we also provide a variety of accessories that could prove useful for CPR classes. We already mentioned lung bags, but you could also consider more advanced accessories such as our AED trainers.

With an AED trainer, you can teach your students how to use an automated external defibrillator. It is a technique that is essential for patients who suffer sudden cardiac arrest; a situation where an electrical current is required to safe a patient’s life. Thus, many instructors add the AED trainer to their regular CPR classes.

Do you have a question about any of our CPR training equipment? Or do you need some help deciding which of our equipment would suit your classes best? For more information or assistance, please contact the Mentone Educational team.
