Anatomical Model- Type II Diabetes Set

This set shows miniatures of the brain, eye, heart, kidney, artery, pancreas, neuron, and foot models.

Half Brain
This normal right-side half brain features the frontal, parietal, occipital and temporal lobes. It also shows the cerebellum; interthalmic adhesion; corpus callosum; pons; midbrain-central peduncle; olfactory bulb; optic nerve; optic chiasm; mammillary body; and medulla oblongata.

The Eye
This oversized model has been sectioned to show the inner anatomy of the eye. It includes the optic nerve and disc, macula, retina, central retinal artery and vein.

Heart
This two-piece normal heart model opens in half to show the inner chambers and valves of the heart. The model also shows the aortic arch, superior and inferior vena cava, pulmonary and cardiac veins.

Kidney
This model shows a longitudinal section of the right kidney and adrenal gland. The model highlights the renal artery and vein, major and minor calyx, the interlobular artery and vein, and the ureter.

Artery
An oversized “Y” section of an artery, complete with cut-away, showing the gradual build-up of cholesterol deposits. The education card illustrates the effects associated with Type II Diabetes: stroke, non-inflammatory disease of the retina, hypertensive heart disease, hardening of the kidney, hardening of the arteries, insulin resistance, neuropathy, and foot ulcerations.
