The eyeball is approximately 3 times life size and is horizontally sectioned to shown. The optic nerve is shown up to where it enters the base of the skull and the eyeball is sectioned horizontally.
The model separates into 8 parts: the superior rectus and exterior straight muscle, the upper half of the sclerotic membrane, the choroid membrane and retina (2 parts), the vitreous humour, lens and orbit.
